Jewellery Care

We use the good stuff…

All our jewellery is made from recycled sterling silver and 9ct gold. We aren’t rebelling against the planet. Where relevant each piece is hallmarked, your quiet assurance of quality and authenticity.

Gold is the good kid - it stays bright, behaves itself and doesn’t tarnish. It can, however, scratch if you get overenthusiastic with power tools or patio projects, so maybe give it the day off.

Silver, on the other hand, has character. Because it contains copper, it can tarnish over time - but it loves to be worn. The more you wear it, the better it looks. If you plan on leaving it unworn, give it a quick once-over with a silver cloth - available here - and tuck it into the anti-tarnish bag we’ve provided. Ironically, any intentional oxidisation we’ve added, will eventually wear off, apart from in the hard -to-reach places but this will add to the texture and story. If however, you’d like us to re-oxidise your piece, get in touch and we’ll sort it.

Probably best to take off your pieces before plunging into the sea or undertaking demolition work - but honestly, a few scuffs and lines only add to the story and we think our pieces age beautifully.
